Being a DIII Athlete

I played baseball for as long as I can remember. Baseball has been a passion of mine that has defined me, shaped me, and taught me many important life lessons. When I was a senior in high school, I knew I wanted to go to college and continue to play the game I love.

However, academics took just as much precedence as the sport that identified me. College academics came first in the order of importance when exploring colleges. Luckily enough, I was able to find a liberal arts university with great academics, where I was able to still play the game I loved. Little did I know that being an athlete at a DIII school would have a big influence not only over my love for baseball but also my academic studies. Being a DIII athlete has not only prepared me for my future endeavors, but it is an identity I will carry with me throughout my entire life.
